As a Test Design Engineer, you will lead the design of test solutions for aerospace and defence systems, ensuring compliance with standards and customer requirements. You will collaborate with stakeholders and integrate testing systems throughout the product lifecycle.

Lead design, specification, and delivery of HV/EHV cable systems from concept to completion. Perform routing, burial risk, thermal/EMC/mechanical modelling, ratings and installation methodology; coordinate multidisciplinary teams; provide client technical assurance; manage procurement, construction, commissioning, inspections and vendor oversight; mentor engineers and support business development.

Produce temporary works designs for excavation support, propping, formwork and falsework; check drawings to BS5975:2019; attend client meetings and site visits; review design briefs; manage workload and contribute to continuous improvement.

Leads the functional design of nuclear safety-related control and protection systems for Rolls-Royce SMR. Defines C&I functional requirements, specifications, safety functions, and system architecture; ensures compliance with IEC nuclear standards and UK regulatory expectations. Provides technical authority, supports safety-case development, coordinates multidisciplinary work packages, applies verification and validation governance, and mentors engineers. The role is hybrid, based primarily in Derby, Manchester, or Warrington.

Design and simulate transistor-level analog/mixed-signal IC blocks (amplifiers, converters, power circuits), define architectures, integrate blocks into mixed-signal systems, present results to teams/customers, support layout, lab evaluation and test, mentor others, and improve design methodologies to meet power, timing and functional objectives.

Build production-quality, pixel-accurate UI components and interactions in React Native; prototype in Figma with designers; own the design system and component library; improve performance, animations, and cross-platform UI architecture; define design-to-dev tooling and collaborate across design and engineering.

The Principal Design Engineer will shape AI-powered product experiences, lead design discussions, collaborate with teams, and mentor designers while advancing the design system.
