ESG
1. We are on a journey to have net zero emissions upstream in our value chain and to have zero waste from our operations to landfill an incineration by 2030. To achieve these ambitious goals, we are transforming our Sourcing and Procurement (SS&P) organization to fully anchor ESG sustainability in the way we do business.
2. While pushing business with friendly caring to environment, ASML wants to ensure safe working conditions, ethical business practices, and respect for human and the environment within supply chains.
3. Through governance structure, ASML aims to be transparent publishing available information and collaborate with suppliers to influence whole supply chains.
As part of this transformation and taking along the increasing challenges and opportunities to develop ESG reporting offers we open this opportunity for SS&P ESG sustainability. For this role we are looking for a responsible and collaborative SS&P PL who is enthusiastic about coworking with ASML corporate ESG program, Supplier Account Teams (SAT), Supplier Collaboration (SC) and suppliers to increase organization knowledge level, provide expert consultancy and bring whole ecosystem up, in the end to realize responsible sourcing and ESG reporting requirements.
BCM
1. ASML has grown a factor 2 in the past five years. This kind of scaling affects our own organization, but also the way we work with suppliers.
2. To ensure continuity of supply we established a supplier risk management process which, amongst others, includes business continuity at our suppliers.
In your role as business continuity specialist you will ensure that our business continuity requirements are communicated to our suppliers, collaborate with suppliers and internal team members to ensure that business continuity plans are defined and followed through as needed, and timely feedback and support to our suppliers is provided. In addition you support onsite audits. In your role you are the linking pin between ASML’s internal (Sourcing Leads, Category Managers, Corporate Risk Managers) and external stakeholders (Suppliers, Insurance Company).
Role and responsibilities
ESG
As member of SS&P ESG sustainability team, main responsibilities include but not limited to
1. Co-work with ASML ESG corporate program
Identify ESG purpose and scope considered ASML long-term business and P&L
Provide ESG expertise to corporate program from supply chain perspective
Guide SS&P Asia and ASML supply chains to the same principle and direction
Support to summarize ASML supply chain Asia status to corporate ESG reporting
Representing ASML SS&P in ESG or RBA audits and/or in national partnerships
Collaborate ESG finance team to prepare ASML CSDDD reporting requirements
2. Co-work with SS&P Global ESG program
To align collaboration model with EU/USA for international suppliers
Together with SS&P ESG global team to organize programs to come out best practices and knowledge about circularity and relevant ESG themes
3. Increase SS&P Asia and its supply chain awareness and training
To increase internal and supplier awareness of ASML ESG initiatives, targets
Monthly summary to governance leaders, to align status, plan and help needed
Quarterly training to ESG focus suppliers SAT, to empower in-depth conversation with suppliers in sustainability
Half-yearly face to face training to suppliers, to align targets, share news/BKMs
4. Run the business with SS&P Asia
Identify specific actions with SS&P Asia operation team to execute
Develop policy and strategy for GHG reduction and responsible sourcing with relevant stakeholders, drive embedding GHG emissions in SS&P ways of working
5. Run the business with SS&P Asia SAT and suppliers
Understand and implement CSRD requirements for the ASML supply chain in conjunction with ASMLs current ESG strategy, GHG emissions, and Responsible Sourcing due diligence approach and activities (e.g. Conflict Minerals and RBA)
Collaborate with lead auditors to evaluate supplier risks towards ESG topics
Collaborate with SAT and suppliers to provide overview of 2030
Drive GHG Neutral commitment of our supply chain
Align, develop and execute SAT improvement plan to prevent/mitigate ESG risks
Shape & help driving ESG campaigns
BCM
As member of SS&P Risk management team, main responsibilities include but not limited to
1. Maintain and support the ASML Supplier Business Continuity Management program.
2. Identify potential threats at specific suppliers within in the supply chain and identify the impact for business operations (scenario analysis).
3. Thoroughly evaluate financial risk within the supplier base.
4. Help define and drive improvement projects to increase supplier resiliency and effective risk mitigation by sending & receiving business continuity quick scans, requesting & reviewing supplier business continuity plans and providing guidance to Suppliers & Sourcing Leads on business continuity planning.
5. Facilitate and lead (external) business continuity audits at the suppliers’ production location(s).
6. Supporting Supplier Account Teams by helping them to remove all bottlenecks and constraints that block business continuity program progress.
7. Facilitate (senior) management discussions on risk mitigation solutions (e.g. preventive versus impact).
Education and experience
Overall 10-15 years working experiences, 8+ of relevant experience in Sustainability and Business Continuity Management strategy and/or execution, preferably in a corporate, technology-related environment
Bachler / Master education in ESG & BCM relevant field, compliance background is plus
Familiar with Asia ESG & BCM regulations and industry
Experience in ESG reporting frameworks and ESG indices
Experience in implementing ESG reporting requirements in a large company
Thorough understanding of policies and best practices of risk management
Business, operational, information security, financial and commercial acumen
Semiconductor/M&M/E&MC/MLP supply chain background
Ability to manage topics/projects simultaneously and collaborate across functions
Chief of staff experience is a plus
