Job Description

The Creative team is a collaborative group of problem-solvers that partner with people across the business on a wide range of activities. From brand identity, product marketing and performance campaigns to physical brand environments, responsive web experiences, and bespoke pitches.

We’re a diverse team of designers and copywriters with a strong culture of creativity, experimentation, and collaboration at its heart. And we love the work that we do.

We are enabled by our team of Creative Operations Managers, who help make sure that we are on the right work at the right time. We partner closely and cross-functionally with Product Design, and hold regular Design Town Halls where we align and cross-pollinate to cultivate our shared vision for design at Checkout. We stand by our design principles, systems, and standards that support us in creating world-class work with our colleagues and partners.

About The role

You’ll work on a wide range of creative projects, crafting copy that resonates with our audiences. Sitting within the Brand & Comms function, our Copywriters help to drive impact and brand recognition for Checkout.com. As a Specialist in the Creative team, you will work on in-house projects, supporting the Creative Manager and Creative Director in our mission to push the Checkout.com brand forward. You will partner with other Creatives, including brand designers, motion designers, and web designers, crafting copy for social, events, and the web, among others.

Part 2: The responsibilities

  • Craft copy for a range of campaigns and initiatives across varied channels, from social copy to scripts or events.

  • Support our Creative Manager in evolving our tone of voice and brand principles

  • Support colleagues with ad-hoc copy requests

  • Explore and utilize new tools to improve output quality (e.g. generative AI)

  • Partner with other Creatives to achieve engaging creative solutions

Qualifications

About you

  • You have previous experience in a B2B environment

  • You are a creative problem-solving, and have experience working alongside other copywriters and designers to bring to life ideas and concepts for a range of different projects.

  • Ability to articulate complex ideas in clear and compelling copy

  • Ability to work well with others inside Creative and across Marketing

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven culture

  • You’re confident working with tone of voice and messaging guidelines

  • You are keen to present your ideas, and open to constructive feedback as you develop

  • A drive to deliver the best work possible
