Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional Staff Design Researcher to join our Customer Support team in London on a 1-year contract. You'll be part of Wise’s global mission to build an open, fair, and human financial system. Because people without borders need money without borders.

As our Staff Design Researcher for Customer Support, you will deliver value through hands-on work, set clear research priorities, and keep the team focused on addressing the most crucial challenges for our customers and business. You’ll collaborate across multiple product teams to reduce customer effort, create alignment, and create seamless support experiences.

Here’s how you’ll make an impact:

  • Be a cross-functional champion and partner up with engineers, product managers and analysts, as well as content and product designers.

  • Bridge the gaps between different teams to ensure alignment and make sure everyone’s aligned on the most critical problems for our customers and business.

  • Identify knowledge gaps and inspire your team to address them.

  • Plan and prioritise the work with a focus on impact, driving informed decision-making throughout the process.

This role will give you the opportunity to:

  • You have a portfolio that shows off a range of skills in research as well as more strategic work.

  • You are comfortable independently initiating, running and communicating research. 

  • You’re a natural mentor who thrives on helping others grow and succeed.

  • You care about ensuring your cross-functional team delivers meaningful solutions to customers and business. You know how to build strong partnerships that get things done.

  • You think beyond the obvious and love turning complex problems into simple, meaningful insights.

  • You always keep the customer's needs at the forefront of your mind and know how to inspire your teams to do the same.
