Job Description

We’re looking for an SEO Lead for the Owned Sites channel – a unique team that buys, builds, and operates websites owned by Wise outside of Wise.com.

In this role, you’ll own the growth and commercial success of the channel. You’ll lead a team of eight, including five Content SEOs, two Technical SEOs, and a developer. Your responsibilities include defining and executing strategy, driving performance, and empowering the team to unlock growth.

Owned Sites is like a start-up within Wise. We’re part of the marketing team, focused on acquiring new customers and driving revenue through a portfolio of ~50 bought-and-built sites that sit outside Wise.com. Exiap, a transparent international money transfer comparison website powered by APIs, is a great example.

We do more than just SEO - we build products that make life easier for future customers.

Your Mission:

  • Lead, coach, and mentor the team

  • Own and be accountable for the channel’s performance

  • Set and execute the team’s strategy

  • Manage forecasting, budgeting, hiring, and talent development

  • Identify, size, and prioritise new opportunities, including potential website acquisitions

  • Work with commercial partners

  • Collaborate with other SEO and marketing teams

  • Ensure team plans align with business priorities

Qualifications

About You:

  • 5+ years experience in Technical SEO

  • Strong knowledge of Content SEO

  • Experienced in managing and growing teams

  • Comfortable building business cases and sizing impact

  • Have worked closely with developers

Bonus (Nice to Have):

  • Have built, bought, or sold websites professionally or as a side gig

  • Experience in affiliate marketing
