Job Overview:

The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external issues to improve the Talent Acquisition discipline within McDermott. They will act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and share their conceptual and practical expertise related to the Talent Acquisition discipline. The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist solves complex problems and uses knowledge to improve their products or services. The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist impacts a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities with the Talent Acquisition team and other related teams and ensures that they work within the appropriate guidelines and policies. 

Responsibilities

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Research, source (using referrals, data mining, and internet resources), evaluate resumes, conduct screening interviews to qualify candidates, and present candidates to hiring managers 
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for current and projected hiring needs 
  • Partner with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition to understand lines of business and hiring needs 
  • Work with Human Resources (HR) to provide best practices and customer service to the hiring community 
  • Meet and exceed both personal and Talent Acquisition Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) 
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • 5-7 years of Talent Acquisition or Recruitment experience required 
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience working with applicant tracking systems 
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and handle overly sensitive/confidential information 
  • Can collaborate effectively with a team 
  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking based on in-depth data, substantiating information, considering/respecting other's input, personal values, and ethics 
  • Demonstrable stakeholder management skills
  • Prior knowledge and experience recruiting within the offshore and/ or subsea oil and gas sector. 
  • Excellent customer service skills 
  • Ability to utilize market research tools and techniques
