The Opportunity:

The objectives of this role is to manage a portfolio of projects within the NCC group globally. The assigned projects will be medium to large in nature, span the full technology stack of NCC, and support all business functions.

They will need to lead on projects from requirements definition through deployment, establish and manage a project plan, manage project budgets and report anomalies on a regular basis, work collaboratively with the business in terms of delivery including change management.

Where necessary they will need to coordinate internal and external resources including negotiating with and managing vendors, as well as ensuring projects remain within scope and budget and/or where necessary managing the change control process.

The role will involve project analysis and when necessary, adapt scope, timelines and costs to ensure the projects adhere to the defined requirements. It is essential they establish and maintain relationships with the appropriate stakeholders and provide day-to-day contact on project status and changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Determine and define project scope and objectives working with a broad cross section of stakeholders from across the NCC Group.

  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.

  • Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements.

  • Track project costs in order to meet budget and report on any unexpected deviation from the project burn rate.

  • Develop and manage a detailed project plan, along with making available a summarised version of the plan for senior stakeholders.

  • Provide project updates on a weekly basis to the PMO and various key stakeholders on progress to date, highlighting key risks and issues with mitigation plans and actions.

  • Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.

  • Utilise industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout the entire project execution.

  • Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed.

  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.

  • Provide quality assurance measures on all project work.

  • Track project performance.

  • Provide project evaluations and results measuring.

  • Adhere to NCC Group’s project governance methodology.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience working in a Project Manager role, ideally in the Cyber Security or Technology sector.

  • Excellent understanding of project management tools and techniques.

  • Competence in Microsoft application packages including Office and MS Project.

  • Understanding of other project management tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, Trello etc.

  • Excellent understanding of full project lifecycle and methodologies.

  • Experience of working within a structured project management framework.

  • Experience of both Agile and waterfall project management techniques.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent organisational skills, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

  • Experience of managing budgets and resource tracking.

  • Ability to think outside the box to establish pragmatic solutions to issues arising.

  • Experience of dealing with all stakeholder groups up to and including C-Suite.

  • Experience of supporting Workday or Salesforce implementations is advantageous but not essential (desirable).
