Our mission

Enable creativity by giving access to everything related to the creative process: inspiration, learning, creating, and sharing. The ‘Creative Inspiration Flywheel’
This creates a self-sustaining community that lives within the Creative Fabrica ecosystem.

About the platform

We launched in 2016 as a marketplace for fonts with a subscription service. In the last 8 years, we have been through tremendous growth, and we're just getting started!

We have scaled to 50 million+ monthly page views, 8 million+ registrations, over 22 million listed products, and 22000+ active designers.

Our focus is to create a platform for designers that enables them to offer exceptional high-quality content. We make their products searchable in unique ways. This allows our customers to speed up their workflow, allowing them to focus on what they love most: Creating.

About the Team:

Within the Content team, we take care of making sure that any content on our platform (graphics, designs, and the millions of craft assets we offer) and all its related information is easily surfaced to our customers.  We are responsible for content lifecycle management, licensing, search, discoverability and recommendation. We iterate and experiment fast, build on a modern stack, and work in a cross-functional team.

The Role:

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you'll play a significant role in the development and delivery of products that power up the Creative Fabrica’s growing crafting community.

What you will do:

  • Build a completely new platform from the ground up to manage the content lifecycle, licensing, and discoverability of over 20 million products. Harness modern data technologies to create advanced, personalized search and recommendation engines.
  • Build and maintain APIs powering up web applications behind Creative Fabrica
  • Take responsibility for component technical designs and deliver quality code.
  • Be an integral part of a Content team, come up with ideas, analyze usage data and build products customers love.

What you will need to have:

  • Experience developing, deploying and supporting production code for high-volume, low latency Enterprise applications, with preference to SaaS or global ecommerce
  • Proficient Java/ Kotlin, with deep knowledge of JVM, experienced in building highly performant distributed systems using microservices and message-driven architecture.
  • Practical experience of relational and NoSQL databases. Familiarity with search and recommendation engines, and modern graph/vector databases is a big advantage.
  • Experience with AWS, Kubernetes and cloud data / compute infrastructure in general
  • Experience designing, building and operating microservices and associated APIs
  • Strong understanding and commitment to software development best practices, including code quality standards, modularity/DDD, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

It would be great if you could also bring:

  • Experience in building high-traffic B2B / B2C products, particularly SaaS and global marketplaces/ecommerce
  • Experience working with large scale search and recommendation engines
  • Experience with gradual rollouts

Our Tech Stack:

AWS, Java, Go, Kafka, Kubernetes, NextJS SSR, GRPC(incl. streaming), S3, various storages (both SQL/noSQL)

Let us take care of you:
