Senior Counsel                                     

We are currently looking for a hardworking lawyer to join the Aviva Investors Private Markets legal team as a senior counsel to support the delivery of Aviva Investors growth strategy.

A bit about the job:

The role will focus on Infrastructure investment, and you will have the opportunity to work across a range of debt and leveraged equity transactions. We are looking for someone with experience in cross border infrastructure and project finance. You will be familiar both with the finance and corporate aspects of an infrastructure investment. Most importantly, you will possess a strong interest and proficiency in quickly understanding and comprehending various debt finance and leveraged equity transactions. You will relish the variety of the role working as part of an expert, professional team while building rewarding relationships with key internal clients and external advisers.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Senior lawyer with extensive relevant post qualifying experience with a leading firm and/or a financial institution

  • Experience in UK and European infrastructure finance and equity transactions.

  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and problem solve in a creative and innovative manner.

  • Ability to manage external counsel on Iarge/complex transactions to provide effective management of external spend and support delivery of deal execution.
