This position is responsible for maintaining deep customer relationships to drive account revenue retention and growth. By collaborating with internal and external partners, the Account Manager delivers outstanding service and valuable solutions for their customers. The position will run a defined book of business aligned by customer segment within a geography and will be accountable for the commercial close of all deals.

Role Responsibilities

  • Senior client relationship owner for a set of large, complex, priority accounts responsible for sales and retention

  • Deep knowledge of key industry trends and can share LSEG vision and how we can help client’s agenda

  • Successfully engages and executes solution selling strategy to uncover opportunities and collaborate with product sales

  • Leads the account planning and definition of key near and long term growth and retention strategies

  • Owns pipeline hygiene, accurate sales and cancel forecasting for their set of accounts, pipeline coverage tracking and path to goal analysis

  • Provides insights and recommendations on how to increase deal sizes, negotiates longer term deals and more enterprise-wide contracts; should be able to articulate cross-sell and up-sell opportunities to drive larger deals

  • Is responsible for the customer lifecycle framework and ensures strong commercial strategy, renewal execution, minimizing cancellations

  • Develops broad reaching executive relationships and aligns LSEG senior executives

  • Delights their customers with high satisfaction and health scores!

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Extensive experience of account relationships across multiple sectors / segments

  • Extensive experience within an industry and / or product area.

  • Relationship building skills

  • Sophisticated selling skills (identity, develop and articulate a complex proposition/consultative selling)

  • Superior interpersonal skills, ability to develop and execute a sales plan, ability to use a variety of technology with a high level of proficiency

  • Problem solving skills: ability to understand, articulate, structure and solve client needs

  • Presentation and communication skills: ability to deliver presentations and communicate at all levels within an organization

  • Ability to collaborate with other teams

  • University/college degree, equivalent experience may be considered depending on position/department, advanced degree may be preferred

  • Significant work experience in applicable industry and knowledge of customer workflow required

  • Account management, sales or marketing experience in a customer facing environment required

  • English speaking required
