Position Summary

The position is ideal for an ambitious design engineer who enjoys working in a fast paced environment. Reporting directly into the Senior Director, Engineering, you will be responsible for specifying, designing and implementing mechanical/electromechanical solutions for new products and enhancements to current products, producing quality design models and CAD data for our electronic gaming machines across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To produce designs that satisfy the requirements, deliverables and constraints laid down in the Project Initiation Document, Requirements Document or as required by Engineering management.
  • To produce design documentation that accurately conveys the design to other member of the Engineering group, nominated third parties and suppliers, and conforms to current Health and Safety and compliance standards
  • To keep project documentation up to date and provide time-scale estimates for work.
  • To provide considered input to the project planning process and risk assessment.
  • To attend project meetings as required by the Senior Director, Engineering and to participate constructively at these meetings.
  • To extract and interpret customer (internal and external) requirements.
  • To record these requirements in a formal requirements document that can be fed back to the customer and maintain the requirements document to reflect changes as they are agreed with the customer

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • 3D CAD preferably Pro-Engineer / SolidWorks
  • Understanding of a wide range of Engineering disciplines
  • Understanding of design for manufacture and value engineering processes
  • Hands on approach to workshop prototyping
  • Experience of design within in the gaming industry is desirable
  • Experience of Oracle MRP Manufacturing & an understanding of electrical connectivity would be an advantage

We're currently working from Chadderton, Oldham 3 days a week in a hybrid working pattern.
