The Marketplace Manager leads all aspects of Pattern brand partner go-to-market strategies. If you are great at nurturing partner relationships, developing and executing business plans, supporting a team of ecommerce professionals, and increasing operational efficiencies, we want you to apply! These efforts extend across a variety of selling platforms including eBay, Bol, Otto, Allegro, Zalando and many more! This is a full time role that works a hybrid schedule based in either London or Munich.

What is a day in the life of a Marketplace Manager?

  • Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate platform partners, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes.

  • Serve as the marketplace expert with a deep knowledge of platform capabilities and business levers

  • Deliver the highest levels of operational execution

  • Responsible for the financial performance performance for Marketplaces on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.  

  • Lead the development and implementation of brand-specific marketplace selling strategies to drive performance

  • Work closely with eCommerce Managers to participate and engage in relevant brand partner meetings on the topic of Marketplaces

  • Evaluate competitive landscape and develop strategies to maximize business growth

  • Partner with Operations team to ensure optimal in-stock and inventory position

  • Partner with Advertising team to develop brand-specific advertising strategies

  • Feed into the Technical team to ensure necessary development work is prioritized on their roadmap to efficiently scale the business

  • Feed into the Technical team to set-up a robust reporting platform with the relevant KPIs for both internal and brand partner use

  • Work with the Director of eCommerce to plan and strategize a long-term roadmap for Marketplaces to drive significant incremental revenue and build on partner "stickiness".

  • Work with the Director of eCommerce to develop a marketplace specific playbook.

  • Have a passion for continuous improvement and building and automating processes.

What do I need to thrive in this role?

  • Experience leading commercial efforts across multiple european marketplaces Bol, Otto, Zalando, Allegro, etc

  • Outstanding analytical and data management skills

  • Humble, resilient, highly motivated, and focused on outcomes.

  • Able to deal with ambiguity and to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up-type environment by pivoting priorities.

  • 2-5 years’ experience in an ecommerce role

  • Second European language highly preferred (but not required)

  • 2:1 degree or above.
