The Paytech Nexus platform is the core processing platform for the Edenred group and processes over 1.2 billion transactions per year, in 30+ countries, over many different channels including open-loop card schemes, 80+ closed-loop card schemes, various funding channels and UK & SEPA bank payment rails.

This capability is utilised by a diverse portfolio of financial programmes including fintech challenger banks, travel products, fuel products, employee benefits and retail gifting. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Programme Manager to lead a team of Product Managers and Business Analysts to complete the transformation of compliance platforms and support the business in navigating a challenging and evolving regulatory landscape in the UK & Europe. 

Paytech are investing heavily to work with best-in-class partners to bring to market a comprehensive compliance offering, including: 

  • Transaction monitoring for AML and reducing fraud

  • Screening of accountholders and payment counter parties 

  • Driving financial crime operational efficiencies with a new tool to give a 360 accountholder view and case management processes. 

  • Addressing regulatory reporting and audit demands on time 

Paytech issue products for its agents under Paytech’s own e-money licence, overseen by the UK & Belgium regulators. Paytech also process transactions for clients who have their own e-money/banking licence. 

This is an opportunity to be part of a fast-moving environment where key objectives include: 

  • Leading and managing the compliance activities over multiple product domains, manging 2-3 product managers & 3-5 Business Analysts. Managing recruitment in the team as necessary 

  • Responsible for producing the Compliance projects roadmap, with stakeholder buy-in to prioritise the engineering backlogs to maximise value delivered. Track record of delivering successful projects against regulatory deadlines is a must. 

  • Be part of the Product leadership team helping to shape the company to be a product led organisation. Leadership will be a key attribute for this role. 

  • Collaborating with stakeholders, clients, 3rd parties and internal departments to capture business requirements, to facilitate the delivery of scalable, robust, secure & compliant solutions that maximise the benefit to the business. 

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in the financial compliance domain, ideally covering experience in processes and tools related to transaction monitoring, screening, case management and KYC. 

  • Extensive Experience in Programme Management, with the ability to lead and motivate a wide team of multi-disciplinary resources to achieve a common goal.

  • Any experience dealing with regulators and auditors in a compliance context would be beneficial.

  • People management experience of at least 5 people.

  • Demonstrates the ability to look at the big picture to define a strategy for delivery, this will be a key aspect of the role to define an overall roadmap.

  • Can give examples of key deliverables, explain their role and articulate the value delivered to the business.

  • Must be a self-starter, progress new features without the need to be micro-managed or drip fed. Takes the initiative, proactively unblocking issues and addressing gaps.

  • Prioritise product domain backlogs, support resolving priority conflicts and ensure wider strategic deliverable are completed on time.

  • Highly organised, with experience of working within an Agile framework.

  • Experience of working with cloud-based services and SaaS/PaaS providers

  • Experience of operational process improvements 

  • Experienced at using data to make better informed decisions. 

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple priorities against deadlines whilst driving continuous improvement.
