About the Role

You will be reporting into the Group Financial Reporting Director and support across our integrated finance team.

You will have a strong financial reporting skill base, able to lead across UK and global compliance including statutory audits, along with leading on one off projects as they arise. Sitting at a Group level, you will see all of the business and work closely across the network. You will therefore be someone who is personable and keen to build strong relationships across the business. You will have exceptional project management skills driving high quality deliverables on time.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day to day management of the team and issue resolution
  • Reporting to the Group Financial Reporting Director on key issues,
  • Lead on technical accounting matters, including the preparation and review of accounting papers,
  • Support in the preparation of board reporting as required,
  • Be a critical contact global auditors and advisors,
  • Critical review of consolidated and subsidiary financial statements,
  • Review and challenge financial information from across the business,
  • To lead on adhoc projects, bringing multiple teams together to achieve success,
  • Build strong networks across the business at a senior level.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant with at least 5+ years post qualified experience. Ideal role however for first time mover from practice
  • Understanding the principles of accounting and auditing, demonstrating a keen eye for detail and strong IFRS technical accounting experience
  • Experience of working with large corporate businesses preferred
  • Strong communication skills as this will involve dealing with a wide range of stakeholders across the business
  • An individual who is keen to build strong networks
  • Understanding of financial controls framework, and process best practice
  • Experience working within a fast-paced environment,
  • Planning and organisational skills with proven ability to meet deadlines is essential,
  • A confident mindset, comfortable in dealing with a wide range of key stakeholders.
