What does our German Localization Specialist do?
Although the German Localization Specialist’s role is quite varied, the responsibilities boil down to five main areas:
- Overseeing the German locale version of the games.
- Collaborating with internal team members and external vendors to deliver fully localized content and test it prior to release.
- Working with Marketing and Community teams to deliver high quality assets for publishing endeavours.
- Being the main point of contact for language specific queries and building a robust glossary and style guide for our games.
- Supporting our growth culture and advocating knowledge sharing within your team and vendors.
What do we expect from our German Localization Specialist?
If you are passionate about making games accessible to the wider international audience, then you are halfway there! Although, we do need you to know some specific skills, like:
- Proficiency in localizing different types of content, with a special interest in the sci-fi genre.
- Experienced user of various CAT tools and CMS solutions.
- Understanding the process of video games localization.
- Recognising the importance of communication with vendors and your own team members.
