Job Description
Nutmeg is the UK's largest digital wealth manager, managing over £7bn for 250,000+ clients. As a J.P. Morgan company, we offer investments and digital wealth management services, complementing Chase's digital bank in the UK. We're expanding our content team and seeking an experienced UX writer to shape user experiences across our platforms, using compelling language to empower and delight users.
As a UX Writer within the Nutmeg team at J.P. Morgan, you will play a crucial role in shaping exceptional user experiences across our web and mobile platforms. Your collaboration with researchers, product designers, product managers, marketers, commercial teams, and engineers will be key in developing customer-centric products and services. You will be instrumental in producing clear, engaging, and empowering content for our clients. Furthermore, your interaction with stakeholders across different functions will significantly influence all stages of our content, design, and product development.
Job Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers to produce meaningful product content.
  • Connect customer journey needs with business goals, design direction, and brand guidelines to create content effectively for end-to-end customer experiences.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Create and help maintain writing guidelines that are in line with our brand.
  • Develop messaging with attention to accessibility and meaning for different audiences.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation, including Product, PR, Brand, Legal, Risk, and more, to facilitate understanding progress and influence direction.
  • Partner with our brand, marketing, customer service teams, and our other internal business partners to create a cohesive and high quality experience.
  • Partner with UX research to observe and conduct user testing and research to inform our content experience.
  • Champion the value of UX writing among other teams.
  • Take responsibility for the comprehension of our content with our customers. Testing that they do understand what we are writing, and can learn about investing.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • You are passionate about communicating clearly and making the complex simple.
  • You can create written solutions that solve customer problems, as far as language can, of course.
  • You're a strong collaborator who can work across Design, Product, Engineering and Brand ensuring a consistent voice.
  • You're a natural storyteller, a logical thinker, and a designer of content that people can understand.
  • Work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team of researchers, product designers, technologists and business experts to create new products and services.
  • Connect customer journey needs with business goals, design direction, and brand guidelines.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Content Strategy, English, Journalism, Creative Writing, Human Centered Design or other area(s) of relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, with native fluency in written and verbal English.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experience in the Atlassian suite of software (Jira & Confluence) is desirable.
  • Experience in Financial Services, Banking or Investment is preferred, but not required, but you will need to immerse yourself in this world with passion and curiosity.
