While there is rarely a typical day, here’s a snapshot of some of the key parts of the job:
- Supporting the IFRS4 (UK GAAP) accounting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, adhering to working day timetable and reporting standards;
- Responsible for maintaining controls for revaluation, FX analysis and translation of the ledger
- Monitor the alignment for common transactions between IFRS17 & IFRS4 ledgers
- Ensuring the ledger is closed out in a timely manner
- Maintain J-Sox controls
- Audit engagement
- Be an Oracle superuser
- Engage with the wider Syndicate Finance team on how we continue to improve and make the tools available to us meet new reporting requirements.

What you’ll need:
For this particular role there are some important qualifications and experience we need you to have. These include:
- Accounting Qualifications
- Strong Excel skill
- Understanding of the Lloyd’s Market
- Ideally experience with Oracle general leger
- Good communication skills
- Strong controls and reconciliations experience
