Within our Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls Engineering (EICE) Team we deliver high value and best in class solution to our Customers with focus on efficiency, quality, and execution excellence for Clean Energy Transition. The Digital Transformation Engineer will play a critical role in leading execution governance relevant to Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls Engineering activities, to become more efficient through adoption of digital technologies and tools.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Engineering infrastructure, project and program execution, operation methodologies, coupled with transformation vision, recognized leadership, target oriented and structured approach. You will be responsible for developing and executing GTE Engineering priorities to drive EICE Configuration and Governance improvements and new capabilities for processes optimization, efficiency enhancement, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.

As Digital Systems Engineer - E&I & Control Engineering Configuration & Governance you will be responsible for

  • the execution of EICE portion of Digital Program Definition (DPD) Epics by translating high-level program activities into actionable demand for EICE disciplines digital specialists, and monitoring progress and results.
  • Leading EICE Digital initiatives in collaboration with Digital Technology and Functional/Business Digital teams to drive productivity and enhance business impact for GTE Engineering.
  • Driving cultural change for a mindset of continuous improvement and operational excellence by promoting use of Digital Technologies and Artificial Intelligence features in all daily activities.
  • Conducting regular reviews up to the GTE Engineering Senior Director and BU Leaders to report the effectiveness of priorities and identify areas for further improvement.
  • Mapping EICE digital tools with the aim to capture gaps to be covered and inspire/define solutions for an integrated design environment.
  • Defining, developing, and releasing new features for EICE digital tools in PROD., additionally, monitor their adoption and coordinate resources for their continuous maintenance.
  • Developing, improving and maintaining new product configurators for ITO and OTR activities.
  • Collaborating with EICE vertical leaders and CMs to collect ideas for digital footprint enlargement and transfer them into outcomes and benefits from Digital Tools with the aim to develop an integrated design suite for engineering efficiency and quality improvement.
  • Connection to critical business operations challenges: e.g. ITO Competitiveness, OTR execution, Productivity, EBITDA

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Master’s degree in engineering or computer science
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience
  • Passion and good knowledge of digital technology in design automation
  • Basic knowledge of project management, process improvement methodologies
  • Fluency in Italian and English languages.
