The Content Enrichment Specialist will review video content according to guidelines and provide research and editorial services regarding current pop culture video content. They will utilize their passion for pop culture and social media trends to identify patterns and provide insight on the digital landscape. This is a bilingual position, requiring fluency in both English and Arabic.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and partnerships to deliver editorial feedback and research on video content
  • Review video content to ensure compliance with provided guidelines
  • Identify patterns or trends in video content, adhering to client guidelines
  • Evaluate and assess the assigned number of videos required to meet daily deliverables
  • Apply a keen awareness of the cultural and political climate to all  work
  • Determine if videos meet the set criteria for the client’s goals
  • Participate in and encourage the growth of 1021’s culture both within the company and outside of it
  • Special projects as needed
  • Must be available to work occasional holidays

Required Experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic
  • Bachelor’s degree or experience in relevant job or industry
  • Deep familiarity with the cultural and political climates in the MENA region

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working remotely and within multicultural teams
  • Experience with content moderation, content review, curation, or similar roles
  • Knowledge of content review guidelines and best practices
  • Experience with copywriting and proofreading, preferably with a focus on entertainment content
  • Comfortable working with Google Suite, with spreadsheets and other data management tools
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in guidelines, workflows, and tools
  • Strong understanding of digital streaming products, particularly video and its ecosystem 
  • The ability to review information with an analytical and objective mindset in a fast paced environment
  • A keen interest in/knowledge of pop culture, social media trends and creators, and trending video content
  • Strong familiarity with memes, hit songs and content trends in pop culture including music, dance, gaming, beauty, fashion, film, TV, pets, comedy, and/or sports
  • Familiar with popular social media platforms including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, Twitter, Twitch, Clubhouse, etc.

Job Type: Full-time (this position has a Tuesday-Saturday work schedule, with Sunday/Monday off each week)

Holiday work requirements: Due to the nature of our client’s work, you may be required to work occasional holidays as scheduled by your manager. In these instances, we will provide compensatory pay or a floating holiday depending on your country’s requirements.
