Position: Commercial Finance Data Analyst

Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and diligent Finance and Data Analyst to join our team. This role is ideal for recent graduates looking to start their career in finance and data analysis. The successful candidate will work closely with various teams to provide data-driven insights and support financial decision-making processes as well as start their journey to become a qualified professional.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with multiple teams to deliver data-informed reporting and analysis on sales performance, margins, and forecasting.
  • Assist in running performance reports for the division and ensure alignment with other finance departments.
  • Support sales by consolidating data inputs and helping the team to deliver accurate monthly forecasts using data analysis techniques.
  • Build and maintain customer reports, including tracking customer incentives to ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Analyse sales data and models to review performance and forecasts, providing insights to commercial teams.
  • Update standard costs and report on margin performance, highlighting the impact on the business.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Recent graduate with a degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proficient in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Ability to harness data to understand key business drivers.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools such as SQL and Microsoft Power BI is advantageous.
  • Good communication skills to effectively convey data insights to others.
