Block Labs is a premier technology studio operating at the bleeding edge of Web3, Artificial Intelligence, and iGaming. We don't just ship features; we engineer high-scale, production-grade platforms that power the next generation of digital products.
We are a collective of senior engineers, product strategists, and builders who refuse to compromise on architecture. Whether we are designing autonomous multi-agent AI systems, building decentralized financial infrastructure, or architecting high-frequency iGaming platforms, our standard is excellence.
We move fast, but we build for the long term. If you are looking to work alongside a team that values deep technical expertise, thoughtful system design, and product ownership, Block Labs is where you belong.
About The RoleWe’re seeking a data-driven Business Intelligence Analyst to turn blockchain and product data into clear, actionable insights that drive growth, retention, and risk controls across our crypto-enabled iGaming products.
As a key player in our upcoming business initiatives, you will not only maintain our existing reporting but also help architect our future analytics stack. You’ll own the end-to-end analytics pipeline—using SQL, dbt, Python, Amplitude, and a mix of modern BI tools. A major focus of this role will be evaluating and driving a potential transition from Tableau toward open-source alternatives like Metabase or Apache Superset.
Key ResponsibilitiesBI Strategy & Evolution: Design and iterate on dashboards surfacing core KPIs (GGR/NGR, LTV, churn, conversion). Lead the Proof of Concept (POC) and evaluation process for transitioning our visualization layer to Metabase or Superset.
High-Performance Modeling: Write production-grade SQL (CTEs, window functions, incremental models) with a heavy focus on performance optimization for ClickHouse and large-scale on-chain datasets.
Advanced Analytics: Use Python (pandas, seaborn, scikit-learn) for deep-dive analysis, data quality automation, and building lightweight ETL/API integrations with blockchain providers.
On-Chain Data Ownership: Parse EVM logs and token transfers, analyze wallet clustering, and investigate exchange/bridge flows to understand the "whys" behind player behavior.
Product & Risk Partnership: Define event schemas for wallet funnels (custodial vs. non-custodial) and collaborate with Risk/Compliance to detect anomalies like bonus abuse or suspicious wallet rings.
Experimentation: Design and analyze A/B tests and cohorts within the unique constraints of the iGaming and crypto regulatory landscape.
Experience: Minimum 2 years in Business Intelligence or Data Analytics; prior exposure to crypto or iGaming is a massive plus.
SQL Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in writing highly performant queries. You should be comfortable optimizing complex joins and modeling data specifically for OLAP engines like ClickHouse.
BI Versatility: Expert knowledge of Tableau (LODs, parameters, performance tuning) combined with a strong interest or experience in modern, open-source BI tools like Metabase or Apache Superset.
dbt & Engineering Mindset: Hands-on experience with dbt (environments, testing, CI/CD) and a commitment to data lineage and documentation.
Python: Proficient in using Python for data engineering tasks, modular code writing, and interacting with APIs.
Crypto Domain: Practical understanding of transaction flows, gas dynamics, and wallet models (e.g., WalletConnect, MetaMask).
Infrastructure: Experience with dbt Cloud, workflow orchestration (Airflow/Prefect), and data quality tooling (Great Expectations or Monte Carlo).
On-Chain Specialized Tools: Previous use of Dune, Flipside, Goldsky, or Nansen; familiarity with contract ABIs and address labeling.
Modern Data Stack: Hands-on experience with AWS/S3 and managing high-concurrency environments in ClickHouse.
Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of iGaming economics (Hold, RTP, Bonus Efficiency) and familiarity with product analytics platforms like Amplitude.
What kind of culture can I expect?
Mature, mission-driven, and low-ego. We value clarity over noise, outcomes over theatrics, and pace without chaos. If you’re one of the smartest minds in your craft and want to build with other experts, you’ll feel at home here.
