Due to continued and rapid growth we’re on the hunt for an Analytics Director to lead our Group Finance Analytics function in Bishopsgate, London. You’ll be part of the team that helps pilot the rocket ship.

Role Overview:

Finance controls and manages the largest, most complex, and most important datasets at Wise. Given our ongoing international expansion and the ever evolving development of our product, the requirements for this never sit still, and we need a talented Analytics Director to help us manage our data, platforms, and analytics teams to the outcomes we need as a finance function. The role is highly technical focussed on effective data and stakeholder management at scale.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead and nurture a team of 12 talented analysts, helping them grow and deliver great results

  • Coordinate and liaise with Data Engineering, Finance Control, Product, Product Engineering, Finance Leadership and Regulatory Reporting on their data needs and developments. You will be the key person defining data strategy in conjunction with these stakeholders

  • Your role will lean heavily into data architecture, assurance, delivery, and the ongoing development of data systems and processes

  • Make sure our data processes meet legal requirements and support our big-picture goals

  • Stay on top of data trends and find ways to make our processes even better

Who you are

  • 5-6 years experience as an Analyst and 2-5 years leading others (can be overlapping).

  • Deep background in designing data systems in conjunction with Data Engineers and PMs.

  • Strong expertise in data architecture and strategy, including technology stack selection and strategic roadmapping.

  • Proficient in data modeling and design, with experience in logical and physical data models.

  • Ability to self-organize and manage stakeholders, and drive strategic direction within a particular department.

  • Finance background preferred.

  • Data visualization and storytelling ability.

  • Demonstration of impact/going above and beyond basic role requirements.

  • Python/R.

Desirable

  • Experience with DBT and data modelling in a warehouse context.

  • Understanding of testing and experimental design.

  • Legally authorized to work in the UK.

What do we offer: 

  • Salary: £125,000 - £150,000

  • Company Restricted Stock Units
