As Workplace Manager your mission will be to “provide exceptional support services within beautiful work environments that inspire and enable staff to create exceptional outcomes.”


You will implement the global Workplace Experience (WX) team’s strategies for achieving continual improvement of the workplace. This will include all elements of facilities management, how people interact with our space, its technology, events and experiences, and how the space enables people to interact with each other to strengthen our amazing culture. You’ll work under the guidance of the Director of Workplace Experience (Americas, UK & EMEA) and in collaboration with local leaders to understand future space needs and implement plans to meet these needs. Your portfolio includes major offices in London, Milton Keynes, Manchester, and Cape Town as well as support of subsidiary and smaller sites throughout the UK/EMEA region.


You will be a key culture leader, fostering an inclusive, beautiful, and functional environment. Specifically, you and your team will orchestrate the full spectrum of services that bring our office spaces to life and empower our business functions. This includes cultivating a proactive approach to facilities maintenance, strategically managing our space to maximise collaboration and efficiency, and championing our Activity Based Working philosophy. You'll curate exceptional hospitality experiences, from seamless travel arrangements to vibrant events and delectable food and beverage offerings. Your expertise will extend to building strong vendor partnerships, ensuring robust physical security, and maintaining seamless relationships with building management. Furthermore, you will champion our commitment to health, safety, environmental stewardship, and sustainability, ensuring our workplaces are not only productive but also responsible. Critically, you will cultivate and maintain a strong, collaborative relationship with local leadership, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed, and that our workplace strategy is aligned with regional and global business objectives. This partnership will be crucial for the success of your role and the overall workplace experience in your region.


What you’ll do

  • Lead and develop the regional Workplace team: Provide leadership, guidance, and support to your team, ensuring a consistent and high-quality workplace experience for staff and visitors across your portfolio.
  • Cultivate strong stakeholder relationships: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the business, providing insights into team and space requirements, and educating and supporting the business on our Activity Based Working model.
  • Provide exceptional employee support: Assist the Workplace Experience team in providing comprehensive support and assistance to staff in the region's offices.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with the wider Workplace Experience team to ensure a consistent and aligned approach to global and local workplace initiatives.
  • Optimize vendor relationships: Regularly review supplier relationships and arrangements, making recommendations for improvement and leading the negotiation and management of service contracts to ensure services are delivered within approved budgets and standards.
  • Manage financial performance: Provide regular reporting and analysis on contracts and spend to identify cost-saving opportunities. Assist with the creation and management of operating and capital expense budgets for the region, ensuring adherence to all financial policies and processes.
  • Ensure operational excellence: Implement and maintain processes to ensure all sites are well-presented, stocked, and maintained. Liaise with internal staff and external contractors to ensure user needs are met and maintenance projects are executed effectively and cost-efficiently.
  • Champion health, safety, and compliance: Manage processes and management systems to ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and security legislation and company requirements. Manage the implementation, monitoring, and reporting of health, safety, environmental, and security performance within each office.
  • Support property portfolio management: Assist with property acquisition, disposal, and lease negotiations as required.
  • Oversee project management: Manage fit-out and build work projects within the region as required, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.

What you’ll bring with you

  • Extensive experience in facilities/ workplace management and events or experiences across multiple sites.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing teams across multiple sites.
  • Experience in all aspects of people management including professional skills development and coaching.
  • Experience in managing front of house functions.
  • Proven experience in office relocations and reconfigurations.
  • Project management experience in commercial fit outs or similar environments.
  • Proven experience in contract management and service level agreements.
  • Experience working in a global environment, across multiple time zones where necessary.
  • Experience using project management and productivity tools, such as Asana, Slack, JSM, and Confluence.
