Help us build the future of PTC’s business through human-centered product design and value-driven user experiences. PTC empowers the world’s most innovative companies with a comprehensive suite of enterprise CAD and data management solutions, enabling teams to streamline workflows, leverage powerful 3D capabilities, and unlock new levels of efficiency and creativity across their organizations. As a Product Designer on a new product from PTC, you will craft user-centered design solutions that enhance customers’ engineering design workflows. 

Role  

As a Product Designer, you will be responsible for executing high-quality product design for a new product from PTC. 

In this role, you will:  

  • Define interaction, behavior and workflows for web applications with an emphasis on 3D CAD visualization and AI native experiences. 

  • Create and rapidly iterate on mock-ups, prototypes, specs and production visual assets such as graphics and icons. 

  • Collaborate closely with a global team of product managers, senior designers, and engineers to deliver valuable, high-quality features that balance product requirements, technical constraints, and user needs and motivations. 

  • Build rapid prototypes for user testing, conduct user research with our customers, and synthesize results for stakeholders. 

  • Explore broad ranges of solutions in concepts and detail designs, drawing from industry standards as well as new technologies and interaction patterns. 

  • Leverage and contribute to PTC’s design system to ensure a cohesive experience across the PTC product suite. 

  • Contribute to the creative energy of our team. Bring more than your design expertise but also your unique perspective that helps us see the world differently and inspire us to be better at all that we do. 

  • Work closely with our Cambridge engineering team, so we ask that you be in the office at least three days a week to enjoy stronger collaboration and teamwork. 

Skills and preferred qualifications 

  • 1-3 years of professional product design experience. 

  • A portfolio that demonstrates your product design talent. 

  • Ability to communicate, articulate your design decisions, and consider feedback from product managers, engineers, and other designers. 

  • Adept with tools like Figma (preferred), Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite. 

Bonus skills (a plus, but not required) 

  • Experience in CAD, PLM, or other industrial software. 

  • Experience in enterprise SaaS products. 

Basic Qualifications 

  • BA, BS or BFA
