Job Description

The role of Trainee Management Accountant (Part Qualified) within our Vehicle Solutions business is a great opportunity to develop your career in finance. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will work closely with both the Financial Control and Commercial Finance teams, providing key support through accurate financial reporting, analysis, and process improvement initiatives

What you’ll be doing

  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts, including profit & loss and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Helping to produce financial reporting packs and commentary for review by senior finance stakeholders.
  • Supporting the team in comparing actual performance to budgets and forecasts, preparing variance analysis.
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring reporting deadlines are met.
  • Assisting with year-end accounting processes, including the preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation for external auditors
  • Improving current processes and controls, and suggesting ideas for efficiency.
  • Providing ad hoc analysis and support to the Finance Manager.
  • Collaborating with central teams (Group, Tax, Compliance) as needed.

Qualifications

  • Part Qualified CIMA or ACCA
  • A logical thinker and problem solver
