JOB MISSION: 

We are seeking a dynamic Trade Marketing Manager to develop and execute the trade marketing strategy for one of our Strategic Key Accounts (SKA).  

 

We are looking for an experienced individual with a proven track record of developing trade marketing strategies that drive consumer engagement, improve brand presence, and increase revenue.  

  

The ideal candidate will have a passion for sport and sportswear retail, with experience across the full journey from online to instore.  

  

This role is office based 3 days per week and involves working weekends and unsociable hours when required. 

 

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES: 

  • Develop and drive a comprehensive trade marketing strategy aligned against Global and Regional EMEA Marketing plans to meet investment guidelines, priorities and goals in line with the global business objectives 

  • Develop and maintain the overarching marketing calendar for the SKA, analysing consumer data, market trends and competitive analysis to optimise future strategies and efforts. 

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preference, and competitive activities to inform trade marketing decisions.  

  • Drive sell-in activity through the creation and delivery of account specific pre-line and sell-in presentations, promoting best-in-class buying experiences for our customers. 

  • Identify and scope new opportunities in existing and future markets, using networks to derive actionable insights to inform marketing strategies. 

  • Educate and ensure compliance among NB brand guidelines, and communication protocols. 

  • Lead the creation of seasonal omnichannel marketing plans, seamlessly integrating online and physical consumer touchpoints across multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely execution and delivery.    

  • Lead, Mentor and develop a high performing team of trade marketing professionals, providing guidance on best practices, campaign execution and performance optimisation for NB within the SKA.  

  • Supports the team to ensure the campaigns deliver on the objectives that are set at the beginning of the year. Ensuring the team execute campaigns with consistency across all touchpoints in the omnichannel journey.  

  • Establish strong relationships with key partners at all levels with the ability to negotiate effectively with retailers and partners to secure optimal product placement 

  • Develop effective relationships with Sales leaders on strategy and execution to improve team and planning execution continuously.  

  • Manage the SKA marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources, ensuring optimisation of budgets and clear investment principles and priorities. 

  • Establish and monitor targets for marketing campaigns, utilising data-driven insights to optimise future marketing efforts and return on investment.  

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in marketing, Business or a related field.    

  • Ability to deliver strategic vision.  

  • Strong communication skills and influencing capabilities.  

  • Experience in managing a high-performing team.  

  • Experience in delivering omni-channel marketing campaigns. 

  • Strong knowledge of the lifestyle marketplace with an understanding of the consumer journey as well as data analysis and reporting. 

  • Experience in the sports, culture, and performance industry. 

  • Experience managing multiple projects at the same time. 

  • Process driven with a clear understanding of working across multiple stakeholders, wholesalers, seasons, products, agencies, and departments. 

  • Good understanding of consumer behavior and the ability to deliver campaigns from awareness through to conversion. 

  • A people person who builds relationships easily. 

  • Ability to travel.
