The role will involve frequent travel to Finland, including an initial two-week onboarding visit followed by monthly trips for the next five months - all expenses covered. You will combine deep technical expertise with the ability to mentor and guide QA professionals, ensuring best practices are implemented across the team. This position will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks, while also shaping processes that drive high-quality product releases. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable building automation solutions, training team members, and optimizing workflows to deliver exceptional results at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Excellence

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for mobile and web-based applications.
  • Implement and manage test automation frameworks using industry-standard tools.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and track them to closure.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for rapid and reliable releases.

Team Development & Mentorship

  • Mentor junior and mid-level QA engineers in automation techniques, tools, and best practices.
  • Conduct training sessions on effective test automation strategies.
  • Provide guidance on debugging, troubleshooting, and optimizing test scripts.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the QA team.

Process & Workflow Optimization

  • Define, document, and enhance QA processes for efficiency and quality.
  • Establish best practices for automation coverage, reporting, and maintenance.
  • Identify process bottlenecks and propose solutions to improve speed and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align QA workflows with overall product development goals.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Test Automation Engineer or similar role in the gaming or software industry.
  • Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, or equivalent.
  • Strong programming skills in languages like Java, Python, or C#.
  • Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring and training QA professionals.
  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and industry best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.

What we offer:

  • Attractive compensation package, negotiable as per the level of experience.
  • You will be working for the pre-eminent global provider of specialist services to the games industry and provided with full training and the opportunity to work on some of the biggest game clients, titles, projects, and tech in the world.
  • Attractive remuneration, holidays, regular team competitions with great prizes; and inclusion into an extensive social calendar. Our environments thrive with collaborative teamwork with people from all around the world, different nationalities, and languages.
  • A supportive community inclusive of LGBTQ+, and any age, ethnicity, religion, or disability. We care about the wellbeing of our employees and have a dedicated employee wellbeing program. We empower our people and offer regular progression opportunities to ensure our employees flourish.
  • Learn as you work and be part of something real that changes the face of gaming - forever.
  • Working with a global multi-lingual workforce with superb training and promotion and progression opportunities.
