This is an exciting opportunity to join Chaucer's bordereaux data transformation journey and develop your expertise in delegated authority data management. The role will provide exposure to bordereaux operations, data quality, reporting and governance, helping to ensure that premium, risk and claims data is accurate, complete and fit for purpose.

Working closely with colleagues across the business and external service providers, you will support the management and improvement of bordereaux data, contributing to better reporting, oversight and decision-making. This role offers an excellent opportunity to further develop technical expertise, strengthen stakeholder management capabilities and deepen understanding of delegated authority data, reporting and oversight within a leading Lloyd's insurer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, validate and analyse premium, risk and claims bordereaux, ensuring compliance with Lloyd's, regulatory and internal reporting requirements.
  • Work closely with outsourced service providers to investigate, respond to and resolve bordereaux and data quality queries, ensuring delivery against agreed service standards.
  • Build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, supporting bordereaux data management, reporting and data quality activities.
  • Monitor bordereaux data quality, investigate exceptions and support the resolution of recurring issues to improve reporting accuracy, completeness and consistency.
  • Assist in the production, maintenance and enhancement of bordereaux reporting and management information for business stakeholders.
  • Support initiatives to improve bordereaux data quality, governance, reporting and analytics processes across the delegated authority portfolio.
  • Contribute to data analysis activities, helping to provide accurate and timely insights that support business decision-making.
  • Assist with the testing and implementation of process improvements, reporting enhancements and automation opportunities.
  • Maintain process documentation, controls and data quality records in line with team standards and governance requirements.
  • Support the continuous improvement of bordereaux reporting and delegated authority data management across Chaucer's global portfolio.

Skills & Competencies:

Essential

  • Experience within Bordereaux Management.
  • Strong understanding of bordereaux and delegated authority data, including Risk and Claims bordereaux.
  • Lloyd's market experience.
  • Understanding of delegated authority reporting requirements and associated controls.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel capability.
  • Experience identifying, investigating and resolving data quality issues.
  • Ability to analyse datasets, identify anomalies and support issue resolution.
  • Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage workload effectively and work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proactive approach to continuous improvement and professional development.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Desirable

  • Exposure to bordereaux data management within a delegated authority environment.
  • Awareness of DQPro and/or Watertrace, or experience using similar data management tools.
  • Basic SQL knowledge with an interest in developing data analysis skills.
  • Experience using Power BI, Excel or similar reporting and data visualisation tools.
  • Understanding of data quality principles and the importance of data governance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve data-related issues.
  • Experience supporting process improvement activities and maintaining process documentation.
  • Experience working with internal stakeholders and/or third-party service providers.
  • Understanding of delegated authority business processes and bordereaux reporting.
  • Awareness of Lloyd's market and delegated authority regulatory requirements.
