What You'll Bring:
We're looking for a Supplier Relationship Manager to join our growing Data Solutions team.
As part of the Data Solutions Team, the role holder will be responsible for the delivery of data supplier management services for a number of assigned data vendors.
This role specifically involves:

  • Building and maintaining on-going supplier relationships that ensure best value to TU.
  • Supplier performance reviews to agreed SLAs.
  • Supplier compliance and risk management to protect brand reputation and the value of various data assets.
  • Serving as a point of escalation for data governance, data quality and data performance, working closely with both stakeholders and suppliers to improve the worth of the data resource.


Day to Day You'll Be:

  • Defining, measuring and monitoring indicators of data lifecycle performance and quality, to ensure compliance with standards within SLA.
  • Conducting scheduled supplier performance reviews and subsequent reporting
  • Forward volume forecasting and tracking.
  • Monitoring data issues and undertaking investigation and remediation activities.
  • Reporting data incidents caused by data quality issues, security breaches where applicable, unavailability of critical data, or poor performance, to senior stakeholders, and logging activities from identification to resolution.
  • Effective reporting throughout to ensure an appropriate audit trail as evidence of conformance to regulatory requirements.
  • Proactively managing the contracting process between TU & supplier organisations- ensuring contractual requirements are met by both parties and non-compliance is escalated where appropriate.
  • Coordinating the required activities of the following departments to ensure smooth running of supplier contracts - Customer Relations, Legal, Procurement, Finance and Product Development
  • Performing on-going due diligence of suppliers to ensure continued alignment to TU standards.
  • Identification of the use of new opportunities for data, to achieve cost savings, efficiencies and revenue opportunities.
  • Monitoring, manage and report supply chain risks escalating where appropriate and aligning to TU Risk Management framework
  • Work closely with Procurement and legal team to improve key performance metrics in supplier contracts and mitigate contractual risks ensuring supplier contracts are comprehensive and robust
  • Work alongside the procurement team on strategic sourcing initiatives to ensure that TU achieve value for money and the contract and performance management elements are considered throughout the sourcing event


Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Significant experience within a Supplier Management role or similar.
  • Knowledge of the markets in which TU operates.
  • Experience of account management.
  • Knowledge of data regulations.


Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Financial Services experience.
  • Understanding of Credit Reference Agency data
