Job Responsibilities:
- Lead development activities for underperforming suppliers through the Top Focus process
- Conduct onsite assessment of potential suppliers
- Participate in supplier tech reviews
- Monitor supplier performance and identify underperforming suppliers
- Support in corrective action review for major customer events
- Participate and monitor the supplier APQP process
Professional experience and education:
- Degree in a technical discipline preferred
- 5 years' experience in electronics manufacturing
- Ability to develop suppliers to meet global OEM regulations and requirements
- Deep knowledge in electrical and electronic components
- Deep understanding of PCB + PCBA, electric motors, cable harnesses, etc
- Experience in supplier evaluation and development, continuous quality improvement, and open issues management
- Solid understanding of APQP/PPAP requirements including Process Control Plan, SPC, GD&T, DFMEA, PFMEA
- Certified Auditor to VDA 6.3
Skills and competencies:
- Hands on mentality with a proactive approach to identify and avoid problems in an early stage
- Experience in root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies
- Strong technical, engineering and communication skills in a global automotive environment
- Solid organizational and project management skills and demonstrated effectiveness to lead and collaborate with cross functional/global teams
