What You'll Do on a Typical Day

Strategy Development:

  • Formulate and execute comprehensive product marketing strategy, aligning with overall business goals and product roadmap. 
  • Defines and owns GTM process, prioritisation and backlog management for team.

Go-to-Market Planning:

  • Develop and manage go-to-market plans for new products and features, including messaging, channel selection, and campaign execution. 
  • Partner closely with and influence product and strategy leaders to define product vision and strategy, product roadmap and planning cycles.
  • Core messaging, positioning, product and offer naming and core sales collateral.
  • Support competitive insights for product discovery and execution for GTM.

Product Launch Management:

  • Oversee product launches, ensuring seamless execution and effective communication to target audiences. Including in-product messaging using Pendo for Egencia
  • Pilot and beta programs.
  • Leverage internal product enablement communication channels and coordination for GTM needs to marketing, commercial, operational teams (e.g. client onboarding) and Egencia GCO teams. 
  • Own and manage product help centres and self-service product help.
  • Own and communication product release notes.

Marketing engagement and empowerment:

  • Audience definition: buyer segmentation, personas, ideal customer profile (ICP).
  • Core messaging, positioning, product and offer naming and core sales collateral.
  • Lead cross-functionally between product, engineering, commercial, enablement, legal and marketing teams to execute GTM.
  • Support brand, customer and growth marketing campaigns and events.
  • Drive awareness for products and services through various marketing channels, including content marketing, digital marketing, external communications and social media. 

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with product management, sales, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of product marketing plans.

Customer focused:

  • Talks to a range of customers, across target segments, always looking for deeper insight. Is recognised internally and externally as an expert in customer needs for a range of target audiences.  Is able to use these insights to effectively create the best possible value across a range of use cases and anticipate future product needs or opportunities.
  • Ensures the customer-centric approach is applied throughout Product Marketing, and all our launch plans are actioned to benefit impacted customers.     

Team leadership:

  • You help your reports identify blind spots and deliver robust, thorough customer understanding.
  • You coach your reports to be research pros.
  • Guides team, leaders and product management on product value proposition, positioning and messaging.
  • Sets clear context and framing, shares thinking, uses reasoning, rational, and enthusiasm when communicating. Takes a strong stand and builds confidence.
  • Actively works to ensure the team are engaged, and able to communicate with product and commercial teams within the right forum.
  • Improves how we communicate and helps others to improve how they communicate through defining best practices.
  • Feels accountable for the company goals. Takes ownership of problems and challenges with the business. Thinks about how to help the business succeed, not just their specific team. 
  • Mentor others to achieve their goals.
  • You support their career development with effective training and tools.

What We’re Looking For

  • Product Marketing Experience: Extensive experience in product marketing, preferably in a tech or SaaS environment. 
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute strategic product marketing plans that align with business objectives. 
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to a variety of audiences. 
  • Content Marketing: Experience in creating and managing compelling product marketing content. 
  • Digital Marketing: Knowledge of digital marketing channels and strategies, including SEO, SEM, social media, and email marketing. 
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse data, track performance, and make data-driven decisions. 
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills to effectively manage multiple projects and timelines. 
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate a team of product marketing professionals.
