Cloudflare's edge and network make it possible to solve problems at massive scale and efficiency which would be impossible for almost any other organization.
What you'll do
The Media platform organization builds and maintains a suite of products that are easy to enable and make web experiences faster. The Cloudflare Image Optimization suite of products allow customers to focus on building great experiences rather than spending time optimizing for performance. You will own code from inception to release, delivering solutions at all layers of the software stack to empower Cloudflare customers. On any given day, you might write a design document that outlines how you plan to solve a specific problem, modify the request flow of Media products, or fix a bug in how our user experience renders. You can expect to interact with a variety of languages and technologies including, but not limited to Rust, Go, Typescript.
Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience

  • Experience building, deploying, and operating full-stack services.
  • You will be working mainly with systems programming languages like Rust, Golang, Typescript, etc
  • Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals such as data structures and system design.
  • Experience debugging, optimizing, and identifying failure modes in a large-scale distributed system.
  • A keen interest in the web and technologies such as web browsers, HTTP and JavaScript.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with image processing and transformation operations.
  • Experience working in low-latency real time environments such as game streaming, game engine architecture, high frequency trading, payment systems
  • Expertise in data analysis and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems
