As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Markets Research Technology team, you will play a pivotal role in the design and delivery of top-tier technology products. Your work will involve challenging projects in cloud-native data, backend engineering, and AI/ML engineering, aiding in the industrialization of AI/ML models at a production scale. This hands-on engineering role will utilize your expertise to promote critical technology solutions across various business functions.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms.
  • Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications.
  • Build engineering stacks for Data and AIML products, including data engineering, backend engineering, Cloud infra, DevOps, and MLOps.
  • Design and implement data engineering solutions using modern big data technologies.
  • Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and explore new technologies.
  • Foster a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
  • Embrace a passion for learning, problem-solving, and creative thinking.


Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and proficient applied experience
  • Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Proficient in coding in Python.
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a corporate environment.
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Proven track record in system design, architecting, and developing microservices and distributed systems.
  • Experience with Cloud services, Infrastructure as Code, and containerized application development.
  • Practical experience developing production-scale cloud-native data engineering solutions.
  • Familiarity with Cloud Data engineering services and MLOps.
  • Ability to convey design choices and communicate effectively with stakeholders.


Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Experience with data and ML engineering in commercial settings.
  • Experience working on recommendation systems or other AI/ML systems.
  • Practical experience with Kubernetes, EKS, Docker, MLOps, and Spark.
  • Prior experience collaborating with data scientists.
