Hempel seeks a Social Media Manager to join a diverse global team, contributing ideas and initiatives for development and impact.

Read in full - don't ‘just apply’.

WARNING:

If you like approval committees, scheduling social posts three weeks in advance, and corporate jargon, move along; this role will eat you alive.

LOCATION:

UK / Hybrid (Wisbech Studio) - We have a Netflix-standard studio that you’ll be required to attend for 1/2 days per week.

YOUR MISSION (SHOULD YOU CHOOSE TO ACCEPT IT):

We are MEDDICC, a software and media company that works around the world’s best GTM methodology.

We are looking for a Social Media Manager (soz for dull title, we can change that if you like, but for now we know it’s what people like you are searching for) to take the keys to our brand and our Founder’s personal brand and drive them like a stolen Lambo.

We have a studio with equipment so hot that it’s Netflix-approved. We have a team obsessed with creating world-class content. We just need someone world-class at driving all of our voices out to where people can hear them, socials!

WHO EVEN ARE YOU?

You eat, sleep, breathe social. You love how fast the space moves and how with the right content and skillset, anyone can be successful.

  • You have a CRAVING for social. You don’t just want engagement; you want viral dominance. You hate losing more than you enjoy winning.
  • You have CLOCK SPEED so fast that you burn yourself on trends… because you use them before they’re cool.
  • You have CREATIVITY so fresh and bright that working with you is like a steam train carrying M&Ms crashing into a Dulux factory

WHAT WE’LL GIVE YOU:

A job.

OK OK… there’s more, that was just a test to see if you were someone with high demands. You passed the test, phew! Thought we lost you for a second there.

We’ll give you:

  • All the kit you need to do the job - Social media tools, MacBook, selfie stick (bougie, I know!)
  • A studio with a full broadcasting setup, along with a team of A-Player producers, videographers, and editors for you to collab with.
  • Content galore with unlimited access to the brightest minds in GTM. You are curating legends.
  • Freedom. No red tape. If it’s on brand, high quality, and relevant, we ship it.

WHAT YOU’LL ACTUALLY DO:
  • Own the Feed: Strategy is useless without execution. You are writing hooks, directing edits, filming BTS, and engaging with our audience in the comments.
  • Break the Internet (B2B style): You’ll experiment with shorts, skits, long-form, and text. If it flops, we learn (Coachability). If it flies, we double down!
  • Studio Studio Studio: You’ll be at our studio in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire at least once a week, ideally more. This isn’t a commute; it’s where the magic happens. You need to be in the room.
  • Be the Voice of Andy Whyte: You will run our Founder’s channels. You’ll learn his voice, his cadence, and his hard truths. This is genuinely an opportunity to build the industry’s most influential personal brand.

PLEASE DON’T APPLY IF:
  • You think social media is just about posting content
  • You are afraid to challenge the CEO on a creative idea
  • You need a “brief” or to be chased to do things.
  • You lack Curiosity. If you aren’t obsessively learning about the algorithm and our industry, MEDDICC is not for you.
  • You want comfort instead of challenge.
HOW TO APPLY (PLS READ CAREFULLY):

Somewhere up there ☝️ is an Easy Apply button… It’s a shortcut. The truth is, every time we post a role, literally hundreds of people click it, leaving us to find them. We may get to your application, but given the nature of this role, we’d much prefer it if you go out of your way to make yourself stand out to us. We promise to give your application the time it deserves if you do.

With this in mind, we’d love for you to show us:

  • How you think
  • How you’d do things differently if you were already in the role

Please send the following to [email protected]:

  • Your CV or LinkedIn profile
  • Examples of social accounts or campaigns you’ve run
  • A short note on why you want to own social at MEDDICC
  • If you’ve got a burning desire to own social, test ideas in public, and leave brands better than you found them, we should talk.

THE FINAL WORD:

Our culture isn’t for everyone. If you’re looking for a comfortable role where you won’t be challenged, scroll on. But if you are done with ‘good enough’ and have a burning desire to do the best work of your career in an environment that demands it, we’d love to talk to you.

IMPORTANT: Research shows that women often feel they need to meet 100% of the criteria to apply, while men apply at around 60%. Regardless of how you identify, if this role excites you and you believe you can do the job, we strongly encourage you to apply.
