  • Working model – 5 days in the office 

Role overview:

The purpose of this role is to work within the JD UK Social Media Channel Management team to ideate creative idea and engage with our social community across the JD social channels. To support with the ideation and delivery of best-in-class content across JD social media channels, drive engagement through community management to improve content performance.  

Responsibilities:

Content creation

  • Ideate and create engaging content for JD UK social channels in a fast-paced environment. You will create, concept, and edit content.
  • Continuously supporting the social team with ideas, themes and moments for content ideas that will generate conversation and engage the JD community.
  • Stay on top of channel updates and trends. Regularly test new editing styles, audio trends and video to optimise content performance through creative solutions.
  • Concept and create social ideas for campaign and event activity based on business priorities. Event attendance will be expected across JD and partner brand activity.
  • Be a key part of the everyday content creation process including ideation, filming, editing with Capcut and posting of the content created.

Community Management

  • Continually monitor relevant competitors and inspiration sources to report to the wider team.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends across social and highlight upcoming talent and communities that align with the JD brand.
  • Regularly community manage and drive online conversation through responses and engaging copy through community management – always seeking for opportunities to get involved in relevant conversations.
  • Consistently moderate comments, replies and DMs, dealing with customer complaints & enquires, and removing any comments which breach JD’s community guidelines.

Publishing

  • Responsible for the day-day scheduling of content using social media tooling Sprinklr
  • Apply assigned tagging system to monitor and optimise performance.
  • Use URL link shortener to track all activity.
  • General day to day support across the social teams including asset distribution, reporting, scheduling and adhoc requests

Skills and Experience:

  • Creating and editing content.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work as part of a small team in a fast-moving environment.
  • A willingness to learn new skills.
  • Experience dealing with customers.
  • Previous experience in blog writing and social media community management is essential.
  • Experience in scheduling and planning social media.
  • Strong organisational skills are essential.
  • Excellent grasp of sneaker knowledge and sportswear brands a distinct advantage.

  • Successful implement new community-driving initiatives across the channel to grow sentiment, engagement and followers
  • Showcase a tangible understanding of the platforms, introducing new ways of working that align with platform changes
  • Showcase a basic understanding of commercial decision-making surrounding product and brand positioning.
