The Role
Are you passionate about law and excited by the future of legal technology? We’re seeking an innovative Solicitor with debt recovery expertise to join our team.
If you’re a Solicitor with 0-5 years PQE eager to blend legal expertise with ground-breaking tech, this opportunity is perfect for you.
Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of small claims matters, focusing on:
Completing and filing small claims applications online through Money Claim Online or paper forms
Preparing defenses and counterclaims for clients facing small claims actions
Drafting and sending letters before action
Advising clients on enforcement options for small claims judgments including warrant of control and attachment of earnings
Managing pre-action protocols proportionate to the value and complexity of small claims
Instructing barristers/advocates for the purposes of in-person representation
Advise clients on legal merits, potential outcomes, and next steps.
Requirements
Hands-on experience in small claims matters
Excellent organisational skills to manage a high volume caseload
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and effectively
Empathy and patience when dealing with questions
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Highly motivated, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Desirable Experience
Knowledge/Experience working with local councils or housing associations
Interest in AI and how it can be used to improve the legal system
Prior experience working in a technology company or start up
