Salary: Up to £43,000 per annum dependent on experience, + 15% annual bonus + Veolia benefits

Hours: 40 hours a week Monday - Friday

Location:- 

  • Central office - James Road, Tyseley, Birmingham, B11 2BA

  • Any of the 5 sites that we operate within Birmingham

What will you be doing?

  • To operate a Waste Transfer Station (WTS) & Household Recycling Centres (HRC) maintaining a strong safety culture in line with company objectives. 

  • To act as the first point of contact with incoming service users to advise best practice and excellent customer service for Waste Disposal, Transfer and Recycling.

  • To maintain a strong team ethic with the current workforce, offering coaching & mentoring to new employees.

  • To maintain organisational values engaging with stakeholders to demonstrate strong leadership and core objectives. 

  • To focus on innovation to enhance client expectations and deliver a first class service.

  • To maintain and exceed current housekeeping standards, measuring performance (KPI’s) and provide feedback to stakeholders through clear lines of reporting.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience of managing a site with an environmental permit 

  • Experience and knowledge within the waste industry

  • Previous experience within a customer facing role

  • Good and effective communicator

  • IT Skills - Google platform.

  • Working knowledge of the Road Traffic Act and EU driving hours

  • IOSH Managing Safely
