Job Description
Are you ready to lead one of Takeda's largest plasma manufacturing sites, driving innovation, operational excellence, and delivering life-changing therapies to patients worldwide?
As the Site Head of Lessines, you will oversee a dynamic manufacturing operation with a complex supply chain. Reporting to the Head of Plasma Operating Unit, you will develop and deliver the site strategy in alignment with the Plasma Network strategy, ensuring adherence to Takeda's values and the highest industry standards while fostering collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence.
How You Will Contribute
  • Lead a 24/7 large-scale manufacturing operation with over 1200 employees, including key functions such as Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Maintenance, EHS, HR, and Finance.
  • Shape and execute the Lessines site strategy, ensuring the on-time delivery of high-quality, cost-effective products that patients count on.
  • Take command of a complex supply chain, integrating operations seamlessly with Takeda's global networks to meet evolving demands.
  • Champion compliance, maintaining adherence to FDA, GMP, and Takeda standards while ensuring safety and product quality at all times.
  • Serve as a forward-facing leader, hosting inspections, navigating regulatory audits, and driving the timely implementation of improvements.
  • Manage budgets and secure investments to optimize resources and deliver on both short-term needs and long-term goals.
  • Drive innovation, launching initiatives to ensure operational efficiencies, robust processes, and capacity optimization.
  • Build and nurture talent pipelines by fostering leadership growth and ensuring a resilient, sustainable workforce.
  • Work in close collaboration with peers across Takeda's global operations, sharing best practices and unifying processes.
  • Represent Takeda locally, engaging with the community and enhancing relationships while upholding our reputation as a trusted partner and responsible corporate citizen.

What You Bring to Takeda
  • A collaborative mindset and the ambition to lead a complex manufacturing site to new heights!
  • A bachelor's degree in science or engineering (MBA is a plus).
  • 15+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing, managing large and intricate operations.
  • At least 10 years of leadership experience - including managing complex supply chains and navigating GMP compliance.
  • Strong expertise in operational excellence and strategic planning while ensuring regulatory adherence.
  • A proven ability to foster collaboration, drive innovation, and manage organizational change.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or similar certifications are a plus but not essential if you bring the right mindset and willingness to inspire transformation.

Important Considerations
