About the Role

The SEO Copywriter is responsible for crafting engaging, keyword-optimised content across various digital platforms, including the website, blog, and landing pages. By combining creative writing skills with data-driven insights, this role ensures content not only ranks highly on search engines but also connects meaningfully with the target audience.

We value in-person collaboration here at Matillion, therefore this role follows our hybrid work structure where employees work 2 days a week in the Manchester office.

What you will be doing

  • You will craft high-quality, engaging, and SEO-optimised content for blogs, landing pages, product descriptions, and other digital platforms.
  • You'll also create compelling headlines and meta descriptions to boost click-through rates and drive website traffic.
  • You will be developing content that reflects our brand voice, resonates with target audiences, and aligns with SEO best practices.
  • Collaboration is key - therefore you will partner with marketing, SEO strategists, designers, and product teams to deliver cohesive, impactful content experiences.
  • You will regularly review and optimise existing content to maintain relevance, improve rankings, and support cross-channel marketing strategies.

What we are looking for

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a strong command of grammar and style, and proven experience creating content for highly technical audiences or technical companies.
  • Solid understanding of SEO principles, with the ability to seamlessly integrate them into content creation and optimization strategies.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to simplify complex technical ideas into engaging, audience-friendly content tailored to a specialized audience.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with prior experience working effectively in team environments and producing accurate, high-quality content under tight deadlines.
  • Ideally, you will have proficiency with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal) and familiarity with tools like Google Analytics and SEMrush to monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
