Role summary/purpose of job

The Senior Workday Analyst, as part of the Global HR Technology and Services team, is responsible for developing, supporting, and maintaining the core Workday HR system while delivering excellent customer service to colleagues worldwide.

This role requires knowledge of HR processes and the ability to resolve issues; working in a team environment to analyse business processes and configure new functionality within the core HR system and other HR systems.

Key responsibilities and deliverables

  • Subject Matter Expert in Workday Security and Data working closely with key stakeholders to drive continuous improvement of Security and Data.

  • Own and maintain the Workday security model, including design and configure security groups and role-based access.

  • Manage domain and business process security policies.

  • Conduct regular security audits and access reviews, support internal and external audit activities.

  • Ensure segregation of duties principles are maintained.

  • Assess security impacts of organisational changes and new Workday functionality.

  • Establish and maintain Workday data governance standards, working with business stakeholders to improve data accuracy and consistency.

  • Drive improvements in data quality and data ownership.

  • Define data management processes and controls, support data retention and privacy requirements.

  • Partner with integration teams to ensure secure and accurate data exchange.

  • Support inbound and outbound Workday integrations.

  • Assess data impacts of integration changes, troubleshoot data and integration issues.

  • Ensure compliance with data security standards across connected systems.

Key requirements (Communication/skills/experience)

Essential

  • Extensive experience administering Workday security.

  • Strong understanding of domain and business process security.

  • Experience with Workday reporting and calculated fields.

  • Experience with Workday data governance and data quality management.

  • Experience supporting audits and compliance reviews.

  • Strong understanding of data privacy principles.

  • Experience working with integrations and data flows

Desirable

  • Workday Pro Security Certification.

  • Workday Pro Reporting Certification.

  • Workday Prism Analytics experience.

  • Workday Integration knowledge.

  • Experience with GDPR and regulatory compliance frameworks.

  • Experience implementing security redesign programmes.
