About the Role

We're looking for a Senior UX Writer/Content Designer (project-based consultant role) to shape how users experience our behaviour-led health journeys inside our product.

You’ll work at the intersection of product, behavioural science, and content — translating behavioural frameworks and product logic into intuitive, human language that helps users take action.

This is a hands-on role. You will help design behavioural journeys and write the in-product copy that powers them.

This is a 6-month project (with the potential for extension), requiring approximately 20 hours per week, and is fully remote.
Please include a link to your portfolio as part of the application process.

What You’ll Do

Own In-Product Copy Across Journeys

  • Write and iterate on onboarding flows, in-app journeys, feature education, progress feedback, nudges, empty states, and CTAs
  • Ensure each touchpoint aligns with the user’s stage in their journey
  • Maintain clarity and simplicity within complex health contexts
  • Develop reusable copy patterns and templates for check-ins, assessments, feedback, and reinforcement

Translate Behavioural Frameworks into Actionable Experiences

  • Work closely with product managers and a behavioural science consultant
  • Turn behaviour change strategies into motivating, easy-to-follow storytelling and copy
  • Ensure the user experience feels empowering — not clinical or restrictive
  • Support users in building sustainable habits through thoughtful framing
  • Review wireframes and prototypes early in the design process
  • Contribute to journey and user flow discussions and decisions
  • Identify friction points and cognitive overload
  • Propose structural improvements to improve clarity, motivation, and comprehension
  • Advocate for user-centred language throughout product development

Maintain Narrative & Voice Consistency

  • Apply defined tone and voice principles across journeys
  • Adapt tone appropriately for onboarding, setbacks, progress, and reinforcement
  • Ensure the product feels cohesive across weeks and touchpoints

Iterate Based on Data & Feedback

  • Review drop-off and engagement data
  • Suggest copy experiments and refinements
  • Continuously improve clarity and behaviour adoption through iteration

What We’re Looking For

Experience

  • +5 years of experience in UX writing or content design within digital products
  • Native English speaker
  • Experience working on behaviour-driven products (health, education, fintech, habit-building apps)
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating in-product flows and user-centred copy

Skills

  • Ability to simplify complex systems into intuitive language
  • Strong understanding of cognitive load and behavioural motivation
  • Comfortable working in iterative product environments
  • Confident collaborating with product, design, and behavioural stakeholders
  • Able to balance clarity, empathy, and precision

Nice to Have

  • Experience in health, nutrition, or behaviour change
  • Familiarity with behavioural frameworks (e.g., COM-B or similar models)
  • Experience writing for personalised or adaptive journeys
