Who we are

Bally's Corporation is a global casino-entertainment company with a growing omni-channel presence. Well, what about the team?

This role will play a critical role in the ongoing conversion of an IFRS publicly reported subsidiary into its US publicly reported parent company. This position is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate conversion, integration, and reporting of subsidiary data to meet the company's external reporting deadlines for as US listed SEC filer.

The analyst will collaborate closely with global teams across operational accounting, corporate accounting, FP&A, and tax to support the conversion process. Additionally, the role involves conducting accounting research to provide technical support and guidance on the US GAAP treatment of unique and complex transactions. Proficiency in Oracle accounting software and related systems is desired.

So, what will you be doing?

  • Assist in the development and implementation of processes to facilitate the conversion of subsidiary financial statements from IFRS to US GAAP.
  • Prepare detailed working papers to support the entries and reconciliations related to IFRS to US GAAP conversion, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations to ensure all accounts reflect accurate and current balances for external SEC reporting.
  • Understand and apply ASC 805 purchase accounting principles to maintain accurate records of asset bases in the US GAAP books.
  • Conduct accounting analysis and prepare memorandums to document the accounting positions and methodologies used in the conversion process.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual and interim impairment assessments for goodwill, intangibles, and long-lived assets.
  • Monitor and analyse subsidiary developments to identify non-routine transactions, advising on accounting implications.
  • Serve as a key contact for technical accounting matters during audits and reviews, preparing necessary analysis and documentation.
  • Stay informed about developments from FASB and SEC that could impact the company’s accounting practices, documenting potential impacts as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to facilitate smooth audits and reviews.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure understanding of accounting processes and requirements.

And what are we looking for?

  • Possess Accounting qualification (or qualified by experience)
  • Possess local GAAP & IFRS knowledge
  • Experience using Oracle accounting software and related systems preferred
  • Experience in business combinations, revenue recognition, lease accounting, and Equity method investments preferred
