What do we need
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer (Java) to join our team and become part of an agile development team and contribute to Dotmatics’ product ecosystem. You will develop and maintain features of our product suite, with a focus on ensuring quality code and contribution to the technical solution from design through to implementation, you will be expected to work with a high degree of independence and autonomy.
In this role you will get to
- Plan, build, document and maintain software products using an agile delivery methodology.
- Collaborate with product management, application science and support stakeholders to develop and maintain product features.
- Undertake front-end development, using Javascript and React (have the willingness to learn if no prior experience in Front End).
- Write Automated tests (Unit, Integration, UI).
- Solve challenging customer issues using a rapid delivery model.
- Undertake developer mentoring and ensure quality code by conducting code reviews
We are looking for people who have 5+ years commercial experience in Java/Spring Boot, with extensive experience in backend development, with an openness to working on front end and willingness to work with other languages & tools.
The key skills we are looking for
- Advanced Java/Spring Boot
- Working knowledge of Javascript and other modern front-end frameworks such as React
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Advanced understanding of object-oriented principles and design
- Comprehensive awareness and understanding of software development best practices for the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including coding standards, code reviews, source control management (Git) and build processes
