What will I be doing?
As a Software Engineer within the THG team you will be:
- Working across the full application stack to contribute to the design, implementation and release of new business features for the THG Platform and developing those features in-line with industry best practice.
- Assisting with the maintenance and provisioning of new CI/CD pipelines, services in Kubernetes clusters
- Providing technical support to business teams where required, ensuring that the THG platform is always available and performant.
- Working closely with the Product and Project managers to refine the backlog of work for the team and provide technical design and estimates
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders and other technical teams to deliver features
- Contributing to a highly collaborative and agile development culture
Requirements:
Essential:
- Strong communication & collaboration skills
- Java 11+
- Spring and Spring-Boot
- Any message broker technology (e.g. ActiveMQ / RabbitMQ / Kafka/ Amazon SQS)
Willingness to learn or experience with:
- Prometheus / Grafana
- JavaScript / TypeScript
- Angular v.15+
- Jenkins / GitHub actions
- Working knowledge of DevOps pipelines (build, test, release, support)
- Containerisation and container orchestration (Docker/Podman and Kubernetes)
