As a Senior Software Engineer at NewDay, You’ll design and deliver high-quality C#/.NET applications, create robust APIs, and contribute to event-driven architectures in a hands-on role at the core of our tech ecosystem. 

Working in a fast-paced, agile team, you’ll take solutions from code to production and help evolve our Stratus platform—driving reuse, consistency and engineering excellence.

How you'll contribute 

  • Collaborate with engineers to build and deliver new platform capabilities. 

  • Engage in hands-on programming, including coding, pair programming, and testing. 

  • Participate in regular scrum ceremonies, contributing to the agile development process. 

  • Work closely with the technical lead to build out Stratus Capabilities for other teams to leverage. 

  • Implement Continuous Delivery practices to ensure fast and high-quality code deployment. 

  • Leverage AI tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot) thoughtfully to improve efficiency and code quality 

  • Own what you build – overseeing the performance and resilience of our systems in production. 

 

Key Skills & Responsibilities 

  • Proficiency in crafting modern .NET applications using C# 12+ (including .NET 8+ and NuGet). 

  • Experience in crafting robust HTTP APIs with tools such as ASP.NET MVC, Web API, Carter, or Nancy. 

  • Experience navigating Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) cloud environments. 

  • Proven experience with Event-Driven Architecture, designing systems that react in real-time. 

  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions, Octopus) 

  • Ability to thrive in autonomous, agile environments where daily innovation is the norm. 

 

Preferred Skills and Experience 

  • Experience working with other technologies aside from .NET ( e.g. Java, Node) 

  • Proven experience working with Microsoft Azure 

  • Knowledge of Event-Sourced Systems, building architectures that track every state change. 

  • Experience working with distributed, scalable database solutions. 

  • Strong understanding of system design principles and modern engineering tooling. 

  • Familiarity with Event Sourced architectures.
