Are you an experienced Energy Market Modeller with first exposure to asset transactions and business case support? If so, please read on!
Role Purpose
We are looking for a dynamic individual to join this recently created team, focused on providing price projections and other key inputs for Power & Renewables financing and transaction activities of large investors, banks and the project development units of large energy companies. In this role, you will shape, apply and continuously develop our suite of transaction/valuation support solutions to provide companies and deal teams with fast and comprehensive data inputs, price projections and sensitivity analyses, building on our market-leading data and modelling services.
Main Responsibilities
Initially you will be working with our research groups to further enhance our models and data and build out a unique suite of transaction support offerings for European power and renewables clients. You will then play a key role in the execution of project assignments – through the creation of content and in project managing the contribution of others. You will also support the shaping and pitching of engagements and supporting business development activity.
Please note this is a hybrid role with a mix of working from home and regular office presence in one of our European offices in Spain, Germany or the UK.
About You
- You have 4+ years of experience in Europe’s power and renewables markets, with a strong understanding of power plant technologies, operations, and economics.
- You are well-versed with the market modelling aspects of financial modelling and valuation of power and renewables assets and portfolios, and you have experience of project management on transactions and/or valuations within the sector – ideally in a consulting/advisory capacity.
- You are an experienced user of power market simulation software (e.g. Plexos, Aurora by Energy Exemplar, BID 3, Origin etc.) – development competence for these models would be advantageous but not essential.
- You can develop, maintain and confidently present complex scenario and sensitivity analyses for various types of power assets, backed by bespoke market modelling.
- You are collaborative and have an analytical mindset.
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with fluency in other European languages beneficial.
