Role Description

Join Arcadis as a Cost & Commercial Manager and lead the delivery of impactful cost management services across healthcare, education, and laboratory projects. You will manage a team, liaise with external contractors, consultants, clients, and stakeholders, and ensure projects are delivered efficiently, in line with Arcadis controls and best practice—drawing on your technical expertise, particularly within the healthcare sector.

Role Accountabilities

You’ll oversee cost management delivery for a range of small and medium healthcare, education, and laboratory projects, liaising with external contractors and consultants, and reporting to clients and stakeholders. Drawing on your technical expertise—especially within healthcare—you’ll ensure projects meet Arcadis standards.

  • Lead and develop team members, sharing healthcare sector knowledge.
  • Manage budgets and financial reporting for health sector assignments.
  • Deliver multiple cost management projects efficiently and on time.
  • Advise on risk management, compliance, and sector regulations.
  • Escalate project risks or issues for prompt resolution.
  • Analyse data to support commercial decision-making.
  • Drive process improvements and service innovation in healthcare environments.
  • Collaborate across the organisation to meet project and client needs.
  • Provide specialist advice and share best practices with senior management.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to drive satisfaction and new opportunities.
  • Demonstrate understanding of client objectives in healthcare and related sectors.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Health sector experience desirable, ideally with ProCure 22 / ProCure 23 or similar capital works.
  • Track record of coaching and mentoring junior colleagues.
  • Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing projects from inception to completion.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
  • Professional qualification or chartered status.
  • CSCS card holder.
