Job Title:             Senior IT Project Manager (IT)

Location:             Cardiff (Hybrid Working between office and home)  

Salary:                 Up to £60,000 (DOE)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our successful team in Cardiff.

Working in a busy and flexible working environment, we ensure quality is at the heart of our projects, which range across all of our group implementations using cutting edge technology.

For this role you must have worked at senior level in an IT environment, with sound IT infrastructure/cloud and networking knowledge.

At ARO our Project Managers are responsible for delivering exceptional IT Project and Programme Management to our large customer portfolio nationally.

As a part of our Cloud, Cyber and IT business unit your projects will include but are not limited to network installation & transformation projects and Azure/on-premise infrastructure projects.

It’s key that our Senior Project Managers have a demonstrable track record of delivering large and complex projects to time, quality, and budget. 

We are looking for someone with outstanding communication, customer / stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills who is comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels.


Please note that this is a Hybrid role with onsite requirement 2 -3 days a week. You must be able to commute to the office and have your own transport.


What you’ll do

  •  Successful delivery of large enterprise projects
  • Manage and plan current and new technology projects into client environments, delivered through our consultants and engineers.
  • Own and manage issues and risk logs as part of the project process
  • Plan the most efficient use of ARO IT’s resources 
  • Effectively communicate with all levels of internal and customer stakeholders  
  • Manage the costs and profitability of projects
Requirements
What we are looking for?

Essential:

  • PRINCE 2 Practitioner Qualification
  • Proven experience of delivering and leading complex and diverse IT projects and programmes to paying customers to time, cost and quality
  • Delivery of projects in excess of £500,000k
  • Strong forecasting skills.
  • Strong understanding of the role of governance and ability to tailor to suit the requirements of the project / customer
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrable experience of working within a commercial and project environment - and comfortable working with individuals of all levels
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a fast-paced environment, running multiple concurrent projects with tight timelines
  • Proficiency in project planning with tools such as MS project, Monday.com…

Desirable:

  • ITIL Foundation
  • Agile Methodology Experience
