The Senior Process Engineer is a critical day-based role leading the safe execution of the continuous improvement strategy, driving asset performance and conformance to standards across the Sites Tissue Machines. Iintegral to supporting the delivery of the mill’s improvement strategy, the holder of this role will also be required to effectively build capability in One KC Manufacturing practices in a way that meets all Kimberly Clark’s standards and processes 

Key Responsibilities

  • Optimize tissue machine and converting processes to improve product quality and operational efficiency.

  • Solve complex manufacturing problems using data-driven methodologies.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, energy use, and variability.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, operations, and maintenance.

  • Support capital projects from concept through implementation.

  • Mentor junior engineers and technical staff to build organizational capability.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Core Competencies

  • Deep understanding of tissue manufacturing processes (e.g., creping, drying, converting).

  • Expertise in process control, data analysis, and root cause problem-solving.

  • Strong project management and leadership skills.

  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Paper Science Engineering.

  • 5+ years of experience in tissue or paper manufacturing.

  • Proven track record of delivering process improvements and cost savings.
