POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Payroll Analyst is responsible for but not limited to preparing the monthly payroll process for employees across RenaissanceRe including the UK, Ireland, Switzerland, Australia and Singapore. Additionally, the role will identify opportunities to improve and streamline the end-to- end payroll experience across the global organisation in collaboration with various stakeholders.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

·      Preparation of the outsourced payroll process including preparation of monthly payroll, and payroll tax filings, with a view to process refinement and improvement in close collaboration with the HR and global finance teams to bring best practice experience to the global payroll team.

·     Reconciliation of payroll-related expenses to the monthly journal entry provided by the vendor.

·     Review and post monthly journal entries for payroll-related expenses posted to the General Ledger.

·     Perform the monthly payroll benefit and payroll tax liability reconciliations.

·      Assist with ad-hoc payroll and benefits queries for employees in the UK, Ireland, Switzerland, Australia and Singapore.

·      Ensure compliance under SOX404 and compliance with various tax laws, including filings and reconciliations.

·     Work with internal and external auditors to review payroll processes.

·      Ensure compliance with payroll and tax laws across the UK, Ireland, Switzerland, Australia and Singapore.

·     Support the HR and Finance Team with documentation of the payroll and benefits processes globally.

EXPECTED COMPETENCIES:

·     A university degree preferred, or comparable relevant experience.

·      At least 2 to 5 years prior relevant industry experience in international payroll accounting and processing, preferably as a Senior Payroll Administrator.

·     Knowledge of payroll best practices, specifically US, UK, Ireland, Switzerland, Singapore and Australia.

·      Demonstrated  knowledge  of  regional  payroll  policies,  governmental  regulations  and  tax  reporting requirements in UK, Ireland, Switzerland, Singapore and Australia.

·      Demonstrated knowledge of payroll processing policies, procedures, activities and governmental regulations.

·      Strong IT skills including proficient use of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel using pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s and embedded formulas.

·     Experience processing payroll through an HRIS (Workday preferred).

·     Knowledge of accounting for and administering payroll and benefits preferred.

·     Experience working with General Ledger reporting applications (Dynamics 365) is preferred.

·      Experience with Cloudpay or similar global SAAS payroll solutions advantageous.

·     Working knowledge of a SOX 404 environment.

·      Prioritises responsibilities, makes effective use of time and remains flexible to changing work needs/demands.
